Effective negotiation skills are important and necessary in one’s personal as well as professional life. This seminar aims to increase awareness of the negotiation process, to equip the participant with a basic framework with which to analyse and prepare for negotiations, and to help participants develop a more effective negotiating style. Negotiation, however, is but one of the many modes of dispute resolution. This seminar aims to also examine these other forms of dispute resolution with a view to equipping participants with the ability to assess which mode of dispute resolution is the most appropriate to resolve their particular dispute in any given circumstances. The ability to do this may, amongst others, save time, costs and even the relationship between the disputing parties in appropriate cases. |
