The
3-year direct honours Bachelor of Accountancy degree, recognised as a professional
accounting qualification in Singapore. Modelled after the
top-notch Accountancy programme at the University of Illinois
at Urbana Champaign in the US, the programme adopts a unique
pedagogy and curriculum to meet today's economic and business
challenges. This is the only programme in Asia to offer Project
Discovery, the new approach to the next-generation accountancy
programme.
Discovery-based
learning environments are created through seminar-styled teaching
methods to facilitate students' active learning. Teaching
and learning in the classroom is highly interactive, with
students taking full responsibility in their own learning
and actively contributing to content development and team
project presentations.
Our
innovative curriculum is designed such that students are well-trained
in the areas of risk and business strategy. Its content integrates
multiple business disciplines and uses active learning methods
based on real-world cases and projects.
Through
Project Discovery, we equip our students with analytical skills
for synthesis and integration, thus enhancing their critical
thinking skills. The rigourous learning and training process
also enable students to acquire invaluable competencies in
teamwork, presentation, writing and problem-solving skills
as we develop them to be strategic thinkers to meet the business
challenges of the new economy.
