Assistant/Associate Professor of Information Systems
The Nanyang Business School (NBS), Nanyang Technological University invites applications for faculty positions in Information Systems at the Assistant and Associate Professor level.
NBS has been rated consistently among the top MBA programs in Asia. As per the most recent Financial Times (FT) rankings we are 24th in the world. The school is accredited by AACSB as well as EQUIS. The Nanyang Technological University of which NBS is a part of is a comprehensive university with colleges of Engineering, Business, Sciences, Humanities & Arts and Education. Singapore is an island nation and a gateway city with the highest per capita income in Asia after Japan. Apart from the services industry, Singapore is a leading financial and logistics hub. It is also home to industries in oil & gas/chemicals, biotechnology, shipbuilding, and high tech manufacturing.
The IS Faculty at Nanyang Business School is a close knit group of faculty members with research interests in Innovation Management, Global IT Management, IT Outsourcing and Offshoring, Managing Complex Projects, Virtual Communities, E-Government, IT in Financial Services and Healthcare IT. The IS faculty are also associates of the Information Management Research Center, which has a strong 18 year track record of facilitating industry interaction and research access. High quality research is strongly encouraged, and is evident from recent publications by faculty members in journals such as MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Management Science, Organization Science, Academy of Management Journal among others.
Candidates are expected to teach courses in Information Systems in the undergraduate, Masters and PhD programs. Associate Professors are expected to also teach in our Nanyang Executive programs. An interdisciplinary background is valued given the importance of IS to other areas such as accounting, finance, marketing, and human resource management within the business school, as well as to engineering and science across the University. NBS offers an internationally-competitive salary commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. A reduced teaching load is provided to new faculty and research-active faculty, and generous funding support for research and conferences is also available. The School also subscribes to various leading archival databases.
