1. What are the differences between the Nanyang MBA and the Nanyang Executive MBA Programmes?
The main difference is in the management experience and admission requirements. Applicants to the Executive MBA Programme (EMBA) must have a minimum of eight years' full-time professional work experience and currently hold managerial positions while applicants to the MBA Programme have at least two years of management, professional or other relevant experience. Candidates for the Nanyang EMBA Programme are likely to be in the middle- to senior-managerial level.
2. What are the admission requirements?
The Nanyang English EMBA Programme is open to graduates from all disciplines. Successful applicants are likely to possess:
- An undergraduate degree
- A minimum of 8 years' full-time work experience, including significant experience at a managerial level;
- High-level English language proficiency
- Company sponsorship is encouraged
Careful consideration will be given to all the information provided in the application form. The Selection Committee will base its judgment on a wide range of criteria including work experience, English language skill, managerial progress, leadership potential, personal objectives and academic aptitude.
Short-listed applicants may be interviewed in person or by phone.
3. When and where are classes held?
EMBA classes will meet once every quarter for an intensive two-week segment. Three modules will be completed in each segment. All segments start on a Saturday and end on a Saturday. A typical day will start from 8:30am and end around 9:45pm. Full use of the weekends for classes minimizes time away from work.
EMBA classes will either be conducted on campus or at a local hotel.
4. How will I be assessed?
Assessments will be conducted at the completion of each module. Assessments will be based upon class participation, essays, projects and examinations.
