AB103 Statistical & Quantitative Methods
This course covers the basic principles and methods in statistics and probability that are important to accountancy and business students. The emphasis is on the understanding of principles and the development of problem solving skills. Students also learn how to interpret outputs from statistical software.
AB113 Information Technology
This course introduces students to the business uses of information technology (IT). Hands-on use of IT tools is an integral part of the course. We make intensive use of NTU's IT infrastructure to illustrate the practical uses of IT.
AC213 Developing Business Information Systems
The aim of this course is to enable future accountants and business executives to understand, evaluate and use IT effectively. The course will equip students with knowledge and skills on systems development based on current technologies and IT practices. While focusing on information systems development, the course will also delve into technological and management issues relevant to the accountants and business executives of today. At the end of the course, the students should be able to appreciate how information systems are developed and deployed for business performance and operations, and why IT is critical to their future roles as accountants/auditors and business executives.
