Message from the Dean
"Create a generation of leaders that will build a better tomorrow"
Students from Nanyang Business School (NBS)/School of Accountancy and Business (SAB) have been able to leverage overseas internships and global exchange opportunities that instil in them a strong ability to understand and lead across cultures. These experiences offer students diverse academic opportunities, build cultural competence, develop intellectual curiosity, and “create a generation of leaders that will build a better tomorrow.”
The NBS Equal Opportunity Fund was established for NBS students from underprivileged backgrounds to avail of a valuable platform for overseas exchange opportunities. Currently, one in five students is unable to take advantage of this life-changing opportunity.
As we make every effort to bridge the learning gap and economic barrier between promising young students and global education, it is your unwavering commitment that keeps this lifeline open for our students in need.
I look forward to your enthusiastic participation and continued generosity to help the bright minds of the next generation to turn ambition into achievement and make a positive impact in Singapore and the world.
Professor Robert Kennedy
Dean, College of Business (Nanyang Business School) and
Goh Tjoei Kok Professor in Business Management
About NBS Equal Opportunity Fund Campaign
NBS Equal Opportunity Fund – Enabling Success
Overseas exchange and internship programmes have positive effects on personal and career development of students – they build self-confidence, independence and soſt skills such as adaptability and cultural intelligence, as well as boost a student’s level of employability significantly.
An integral part of the NBS journey, overseas exchange and internship programmes offer our students real-world exposure to a wide array of industries and give them the edge to succeed in the new globalised economy.
However, one in five students is unable to take advantage of this life-changing opportunity.
The new NBS Equal Opportunity Fund will now give students from underprivileged backgrounds a valuable platform for overseas opportunities.
