This year is the year of membership renewal. As in any progressive association, the renewal process injects fresh aspiration and vigour into the organization. The significance of the work undertaken by the Association cannot be understated and must be sustained for the long-term through cycles of revitalization. In November last year, we launched our Commemorative Book – Visionaries, Pioneers, Achievers after months of intensive preparation. Through this effort, we have garnered strong support from the NTU Alumni Affairs Office and Nanyang Business School. Many of our members came forward to contribute ideas and inspiring messages for the book. I would like to thank the Nanyang MBA community for the valuable help that they have rendered in this meaningful endeavour. The Commemorative Book launch, have raised the profile of the Association while celebrating the success of the Nanyang MBA programme. This year, the Nanyang MBA programme was rated by the Financial Times as the second best full-time programme in Asia, in addition to being the only Singapore business school to be ranked among the Top 100 MBA programmes by the prestigious Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU).To strengthen our ties with the university and the school, the school and the Association has over the last year organized several seminars like – Marketing in Venus: The 18 Guiding Principles of Experiential Marketing and Enlightened Leadership for Sustainability and Growth: Insights from Sun Zi Bingfa and supported many events such as the NTU Alumni Night, Class Reunions and Chill Out @ Harry's etc. These activities have helped us to maintain and develop new connections. We will continue to cultivate and strengthen our affiliation through these events. Finally, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the Executive Committee team for their invaluable support through these years. Without their sustained contributions, much would not have been accomplished. I look forward to your membership renewal and continued participation in the Association’s events and activities. Join me in wishing the new Executive Committee team all the best as they take MBAAA to the next level. |
