| Dear Fellow Alumni, |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The past two years have been exciting and challenging for the Association as we renew our focus and forge towards stronger alumni ties. Our vision is to fulfill the aspiration of our members and enhance the value of our school by becoming the preferred point of link, the very choice of exchange and a vital pillar of support. As the Association grows steadily and becomes more diverse each year, we have to strengthen the bonding process. To fulfill this vision, the Association’s Executive Committee with the support of its members, has embarked on a number of initiatives. First and foremost, we have raised the profile of the Association by producing a commemorative book to celebrate the success of the Nanyang MBA programme. We are honoured to have a positive opening message by the Minister of Education, Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, recognizing the progress made by the MBA programme and the alumni. Next, we had also organized a number of evening talks cum get-togethers. These evening talks offered our alumni some exclusive and unique insights into industry trends and developments. The guest speakers for these events were notable industry players and experts. The issues discussed were of interest and relevance to our alumni. For instance, urban planners and economists were invited to share exclusively with our alumni on business and personal investments. Lastly, by working together with the NTU and the Business School’s Alumni Affairs Offices, faculty, staff and students, we aim to cultivate and enhance our affiliation with the entire community. Our Association members have actively participated in the selection panels for the University’s Scholarship and Discretionary In-take over the past two years. We have also tirelessly supported a number of the School’s MBA receptions and orientation events for our incoming MBA participants. I would like to express my gratitude to the current Executive Committee for their invaluable support and strong personal commitment to the Association. A heartfelt appreciation to Mr Terence Chan too, who was our previous President for his continual support. Finally, a note of thanks to all the MBAAA members for their support. I look forward to your active participation in the Association’s events and activities. Together, we will strive to achieve greater heights. |
