Rationale
Mathematics knowledge and skills are important and essential in Nanyang Business School’s curriculum.
This bridging course is developed with the aim of helping incoming students strengthen their foundation in Mathematics. The course will better prepare them for foundational and advanced level courses within NBS, many of which are highly quantitative and analytical in nature.
The course is designed to enable students to excel quantitatively; and is particularly useful in preparing students to handle the first year statistics course.
Criteria
- Polytechnic diploma holders without ‘O’ level Additional Mathematics; or
- Polytechnic diploma holders with ‘O’ level Additional Mathematics grade of B4 and below
Class Enrolment
Students, including returning NSmen, who are required to attend the course will be notified that they need to do so and will be pre-registered for the course.
Students can apply for an exemption if they have attended any pre-University module(s) or modules at their respective polytechnics which cover the contents of this bridging course.
Applications for exemption can be submitted here, with a copy of the course outline and your transcript (only PDF copies are accepted).
