Application Process

​Online application
Fill in the online application form​. Application period is between December and January. If you are applying for admission with NPGS, the application period is between October and November (please check out the details here​).

Please note down the application number as you fill in the form. You will need this number for future enquiries or updates.

The application portal is fully digital (paperless); the electronic copies of your supporting documents  must be uploaded via the online portal.  Please do not send paper copies of supporting documents to the University. 
 
Supporting documents

The system will require you to upload the below.  Please ensure that the electronic documents are clear (do not take photos of your documents).
 
  1. Personal particulars page of your passport or identification card.
  2. One recent passport-sized colour photograph.
  3. GMAT/GRE and TOEFL/IELTS scores taken in the last 5 and 2 years respectively.
  4. Official Bachelor's and Master's degree (if any) academic transcripts with detailed result Transcripts should include the marking scale (interpretation of grades/marks).
  5. Bachelor's and Master's degree (if any) academic certificates Applicants who are in the midst of completing their degree must submit a Certification Letter on the status of degree candidature and the expected period of graduation.
  6. Two academic referee reports Before you apply online and provide the name and email address of your referees, ensure that nominated referees had already agreed to provide referee reports as they will be contacted by the University to provide their reports online.  Provide your referees' official email addresses and not personal email addresses.
  7. A brief research proposal (approximately 2-3 pages in length).
  8. Statement of objectives A 1-2 page statement that explains (a) your purpose and objective of applying to our PhD programme; (b) your significant accomplishments and achievements; and (c) your strengths and weaknesses in your chosen area of specialization.
  9. Resume
  10. Research publications (if any).
     
Important Notes
 
All academic documents not in English must be accompanied by official English translations. Translation can be done by the home university or any official authorized parties. The translated documents must bear an original ink signature and seal.
 
The official GMAT/GRE/TOEFL/IELTS score sheet will be required upon admission. 
 
Submit only one set of application. Incomplete and late applications will be rejected.

What to expect next
 
If your application is successful, you will receive the admission letter between February and May, along with information on application of student pass.
 
You must complete the registration formalities and report to the School by end of July.
