The Management Development Programme @ Nanyang is designed to offer problem solving toolkits for all function areas such as marketing, finance, operations and human resource.
As managers develop in their career, they need to complement existing specialist and functional skills with the ability to lead, coach, motivate, and integrate the efforts of others. This module is designed to equip these managers with key skills in getting results through other people, while enhancing their understanding of the broader business context.
The business acumen component of the programme gives an overview of competitive advantage, marketing, operations management and financial concepts. These will give managers tools to better understand key dynamics affecting firm performance and appreciate their role in contributing to competitive success, financial health and profitability. Participants will be encouraged to view their jobs in the context of firm strategy and growth goals, helping forge connections between their own daily priorities, and the overall mission and strategy of the organisation.
