  1. How ma​ny intakes do you have per year?
    One, which commences in July.
  2. How do I apply?
    Please apply at our online application system. Only online applications are accepted.

    Supporting documents are to be submitted electronically except for referee reports (recommendation letters).

  3. When should I submit the application form?

  4. What documents must I submit to support my application?
    A number of supporting documents must accompany your application. Please refer to the checklist here.
  5. How much is the application fee?
    S$100. Please pay online or by cheque. For international applicants, please pay online or through a bank draft with the clearing bank in Singapore, and not by cheque. The application fee is non-refundable.
  6. What should I do after submitting my application?
    Submitted applications will be reviewed and a notification email will be sent to you if your application is missing some documents. Assessment begins after the application deadline of each round. You will be notified if you have been shortlisted for an interview within 4-6 weeks after the application deadline of the round which you applied to.
  7. How do I check the status of my application?
    You may track the status of your application anytime by logging into the online application system with your username and password.
  8. What is GMAT?
    Graduate Management Admission Test. It is a test to assess the aptitude of applicants for advanced study in business and management. For more information, please visit their website . Please note that our NTU code no. is V24-ZV-13.
  9. Is GMAT compulsory?
    Yes. Therefore, you are strongly advised to take the GMAT early so as not to delay the processing of your application. The institution code for NTU is V24-ZV-13. A good GMAT score will be viewed favourably in the assessment of the application.
  10. What is the acceptable score for GMAT?
    600 and above.
  11. Can I submit my GMAT score report at a later date?
    Yes. Please submit your application online first, even if you have not taken the GMAT (you may indicate the date of your GMAT test, if any) and send your unofficial GMAT score report once you have taken the test. Please note that assessment will only begin when we have received all your supporting documents.
  12. How long is my GMAT score valid?
    5 years from the test date. Therefore, a score obtained after August 2012 is valid for admission to the Nanyang MBA in 2017.
  13. If I have taken the GMAT more than once, which score will you consider?
    We will take the highest score for consideration.
  14. Do you accept the GRE score?
    Yes, we accept GRE scores. Our DI Code is 3802.
  15. Is TOEFL mandatory? Can I request to be exempted?
    TOEFL is mandatory if English is not your native tongue or if the medium of instruction for your tertiary studies (undergraduate degree) was not exclusively in English. To be exempted, you need to produce proof of other language proficiency such as IELTS / TOEIC or its equivalent.
  16. What is an acceptable TOEFL score?
    At least 600 for paper-based, 250 for computer-based and above 100 for internet-based tests. The institution code is 9705.
  17. How long is my TOEFL score valid?
    2 years from the test date. Therefore, a score obtained after August 2014 is valid for admission to the Nanyang MBA in 2016.
  18. Can I substitute IELTS for TOEFL?
    Yes, we accept IELTS as a substitute for TOEFL. The minimum acceptable band score is 6.5.
  19. My degree was not taught in English however I have lived and/or worked in an English-speaking environment for many years. Will I still be required to take the TOEFL or IELTS?
    Yes, you will need to obtain the TOEFL or IELTS as proof of your English language proficiency.
  20. How many referee reports are required?
    Two (2). All reports must be submitted using the standard template.
  21. Who can my referee(s) be?
    • Your immediate supervisors (both past and present)
    • University instructors
    • Business associates (for self-employed only)
  22. Can I submit the referee report by hard or soft copy?
    Referees’ report should use the template provided and should be sent by the referees via email to mba.admissions@ntu.edu.sg using their official work email address.
  23. How can I check if my online application has been received?
    You will receive an e-mail notification to confirm receipt of your application.
  24. Who should I contact if I encounter technical problems with my online application?
    Please contact our MBA team at nbsmba@ntu.edu.sgtogether with your name and application number.
  25. Will I be required to go through an interview?
    Only shortlisted candidates will be required to go through an interview. You will be informed via e-mail if you have been shortlisted.
  26. How will I be notified of the admission decision?
    You will be informed of the admission decision by email, together with instructions on how to accept the admission offer. Only successful candidates will be notified. Applicants are advised to check the online application system for their application status.
  27. Will NBS provide feedback on an unsuccessful application?
    For confidentiality purposes, we will not be able to provide feedback on rejected applications.
