Career Development

The Graduate Studies Career Development Office (GSCDO) team at the Nanyang Business School works in partnership with each MBA participant to focus on concrete career goals. Each student is then guided through the process of creating a customised career development strategy to achieve their goals within a realistic timeline.

The GSCDO team's development process coaches participants to:

  • Develop clear career goals
  • Understand and navigate the job market landscape
  • Network strategically with a diverse group of industry professionals
  • Leverage on their Personal Value Proposition
  • Tap into relevant job opportunities

The team also advises participants on interview preparations and in creating effective job-hunting tools, such as impactful resumes. Using a robust framework, participants are trained to develop and put into practice life-long career management skills by synergising MBA career development best practices with strategic and meaningful industry connections inside and outside of Asia.

“Made up of a team of career services professionals with deep expertise in their respective industries, we are easily the go-to thought partner for our employer partners, helping them solve problems that go beyond their talent acquisition needs. Because we have a small cohort of MBAs, we know every participant’s career aspirations and needs. This is a very powerful formula as we very naturally form the bridge between employers and students, making the job search process for our MBAs a seamless one. That is very important for an intense 1-year program like the Nanyang MBA.” – Assoc Prof Ivy KWAN, Assistant Dean (Career Services)
