Nanyang Executive MBA in Aviation & Air Transport

As the aviation industry witnesses unprecedented growth, Nanyang Technological University (NTU) has partnered with the International Air Transport Authority (IATA) to design an Executive MBA specifically for aviation professionals.

This is the first time that Geneva-based IATA has entered into an agreement with an Asian university to collaborate on the development and upgrading of human capital for the global aviation industry.

IATA represents some 230 airlines worldwide and accounts for 93 percent of international scheduled air traffic.

Some statistics:
  • Over 1,300 new airlines set up in the past 40 years (average of more than 30 each year)
  • Estimated one million new jobs will be created in the next 20 years
  • 10-fold expansion in travel volumes and 14-fold expansion in freight, compared with 3-4-fold growth of the world economy over the last four decades
This enormous growth will require trained and experienced airline managers. Keeping this enormous requirement in mind, NTU's Nanyang Business School and IATA have collaborated to launch an EMBA degree with a specialist aviation track to prepare future leaders for the industry.
